As a result of consulting this site, data relating to identified, or identifiable, persons may be processed: the holder of their processing is Fondazione Centro Culturale Valdese, with headquarters at Via Beckwith 3 – 10066 Torre Pellice (TO).

Place of data processing

Processing related to the web services of this site takes place at the headquarters of the undersigned activity Fondazione Centro Culturale Valdese and is handled only by authorized personnel or persons who may be assigned to occasional maintenance operations. No data acquired through the web service is disseminated. Personal data provided by users by email are, moreover, used for the sole purpose of contacting the data subject who has requested it and/or to perform the requested service or performance.

Types of data processed

1. Navigation data
The computer systems and software procedures used to operate this website acquire, in the course of their normal operation, some personal data whose transmission is implicit in the use of Internet communication protocols. This information is not collected to be associated with identified data subjects, but by its very nature could, through processing and association with data held by third parties, allow users to be identified. This category of data includes IP addresses or domain names of the computers used by users connecting to the site, the URI (Uniform Resource Identifier) notation addresses of the requested resources, the time of the request, the method used in submitting the request to the server, the size of the file obtained in response, the numerical code indicating the status of the response given by the server (successful, error, etc.) and other parameters related to the user’s operating system and computer environment. This data is used for the sole purpose of obtaining anonymous statistical information about the use of the site and to check that it is working properly. The data could be used to ascertain liability in case of hypothetical computer crimes against the site.

2. Data voluntarily provided by the user
The optional, explicit and voluntary sending of electronic mail to the addresses indicated on this site entails the subsequent acquisition of the sender’s address, which is indispensable for responding to the requests of the interested party, as well as any other personal data included in the message sent. Failure to provide even part of the aforementioned data may result in the company’s inability to respond to the message sent by the interested party and to fulfill their requests.

Cookies

A cookie is a small amount of data, often containing an anonymous unique identifier, that is sent to your browser (the software that allows you to surf the Web) by a Web server and is then stored on your computer’s hard drive. The cookie is then re-read and recognized by the website that sent it whenever you make a subsequent connection. This facilitates your recurring visits, and increases the usefulness of the site to your benefit. Therefore, cookies are important, and they make navigating between sites faster and more immediate. There are different types of cookies, ranging from user profiling, to collecting statistical data, to using information to send commercial offers. No personal data of users is acquired by the site in this regard.

Persistent cookies of any kind, i.e., systems for tracking users, are not used on this site. We use only so-called “technical” cookies, i.e., used “for the sole purpose of carrying out the transmission of a communication over an electronic communications network, or to the extent strictly necessary for the provider of an information society service explicitly requested by the subscriber or user to provide such service.”

The so-called “session” cookies (which are not stored persistently on the surfer’s computer, since they vanish when the browser is closed) used avoid the use of other computer techniques potentially detrimental to the confidentiality of users’ browsing and do not allow the acquisition of personal data identifying the user. The site then collects Google Analytics cookies with anonymized IP, so they can be assimilated to technical cookies. The Google Analytics privacy policy is available at this address.

Under current regulations, the Valdese Cultural Center Foundation is not required to seek consent for technical cookies placed on the Site, as they are necessary to provide the services requested.

We remind for completeness that for all other types of cookies, consent can be expressed by the user in one or more of the following ways:

  • Through specific configurations of the browser used or the related computer programs used to navigate the pages that make up the Site.
  • By changing settings in the use of third-party services. Either of these solutions may prevent you from using or viewing parts of the Site.

Users can block or limit the receipt of cookies through their browser options. To prevent Google Analytics from using your data, a browser add-on for disabling Google Analytics JavaScript is available at this address.

Failure to provide them may, therefore, result in the impossibility of obtaining what has been requested. It should be noted, however, that the optional and voluntary sending of electronic mail to any email address of the Valdese Cultural Center Foundation (domain meltingmedia.it) entails the subsequent acquisition of the sender’s address, necessary to respond to requests, as well as any other personal data included in the communication sent.
